my favorite pasta


i love clam pasta. it's so easy and delicious. if you want to try, here's my recipe.

Servings: 2

butter
sea salt
olive oil
1 cup dry white wine
parmesan cheese
small clams. : i usually get a little over 1 pound for two people.
lots of garlic (sliced) : like 7-8 cloves?
half onion or 1 shallot.
some fresh parsley (chopped)
spaghetti

1.wash clams. prepare garlic, onions and parsley. and start boiling water for spaghetti
2. over medium heat, saute garlic, onions and parsley in olive oil and butter.
3. add clams and white wine. cover and cook over high heat 5-10 minutes until clams are all open.
4. add salt and taste. (mmmm,,, sooooo good)
5. serve over spaghetti. i like to put some parmesan cheese.
6. enjoy!

clams are one thing i've never cooked with, but this past summer friends of ours went clam digging and then canned what they got. i've had a can of their clams sitting in my cupboard for a month, not quite sure what to make with it. i think i'll use your directions as aguideline, of course, theses clams aren't in the shells (have you done it with shell-less clams?)...

Ah, sounds yummy. What is the rule on Parmesan and seafood? I still use it sometimes.
