yellow and green

i found out the mysterious trees in our yard are loquat trees (japanese plum). when the fruit is yellow and soft, you can eat it!

i got some herbs today. peppermint, lemon thyme and italian parsley! i'm going to get basil, dill and chives too. also check out my new strawberry plants! hope they produce lots of strawberries soon.

my next project is a veggie garden. brad said he will build a box (garden bed) for me. i'm planing what vegetables i want to plant while eating green tea ice cream. (did you notice the mint leaf? i'm already using it. haha)

the leaf makes the ice cream look so purdy!

I started a garden this year, and I love it! I would recommend planting Thai Basil, it was my favorite thing to grow, and it was prolific (as long as you pick off the flower buds so it keeps producing stems). It was great for cooking, and zesty pesto! I can't wait to see what you decide to grow! Also, that ice cream is making me hungry... :)

hello :)
we used to have strawberries in our garden, but we never got to eat them because the dogs and stray cats would get to them first. i hope you have better luck than us!

Hi Jeana, I'm new to your blog but love having a peek into your world. I had basil, thyme, spearmint and chives on my balcony garden last summer. I used the basil all the time! I also had strawberry plants too. I only planted 2 but next year am going to plant more. You'll love the succulent little berries. Have fun!
