tea lover

i've been drinking a lot of tea instead of coffee. i'm kind of proud of myself. : )

whoa,, thanksgiving is coming soon. we are going to stay in LA working but i'd like to make some special yummy dinner. i don't eat turkey, chicken or ham so i don't know what to cook! hmm.

When we lived in Japan we couldn't get Turkey. We made fish, but with the traditional thanksgiving side dishes and dessert--like mashed potatoes and pumpkin pie!

on the spledid table podcast, she was saying that there was a vegetarian thanksgiving menu (with recipes) on the website. this is all i could find: http://splendidtable.publicradio.org/recipes/veg_thanksgiving_index.shtml

for my mom and me, i am making sweet potato gnocchi, as found in sunset magazine: http://www.sunset.com/food-wine/holidays-occasions/vegetarian-thanksgiving-menu-recipes-00400000057224/

happy thanksgiving!

u were in my dream last night!...it took place in a coastal village. everyone stayed in their very own waterfront cabin. in the mornings, we would all wake up and go to the windows. but there was no glass, just an open space within the frame. and that was how we said "hello" and "good morning". we would lean out and wave, maybe with some flowers or a book. and you were there, with some flowers and a cup of tea. xo!
