yellow and green

i found out the mysterious trees in our yard are loquat trees (japanese plum). when the fruit is yellow and soft, you can eat it!

i got some herbs today. peppermint, lemon thyme and italian parsley! i'm going to get basil, dill and chives too. also check out my new strawberry plants! hope they produce lots of strawberries soon.

my next project is a veggie garden. brad said he will build a box (garden bed) for me. i'm planing what vegetables i want to plant while eating green tea ice cream. (did you notice the mint leaf? i'm already using it. haha)

i made a mini little succulent garden again. (my last one died... ) hope this one lasts long.

the days go by fast. it's been kind of chilly lately which makes it hard to get out of bed in the morning. i should try to start the day earlier from tomorrow. yeah. i really should.

BAD DOG! somehow pepe managed to crawl under the fence today. luckily i caught him on our street but he totally freaked me out. he could've been gone! (he wasn't wearing his collar & tag) we fixed the fence.. but i'm still worried. he's so grounded.

brad and i got flu shots. we both got really really sick last year so we wanted to prevent it this time. drink lots of water, wash your hands all the time. don't get sick!

i need some stuff. i really do. i don't have anything to wear (seriously),, i'm tired of all of my bags and shoes,,, i want to get some brand new stuff instead of vintage this time. i wish i could start over my closet.

my favorite pasta

i love clam pasta. it's so easy and delicious. if you want to try, here's my recipe.

Servings: 2

butter
sea salt
olive oil
1 cup dry white wine
parmesan cheese
small clams. : i usually get a little over 1 pound for two people.
lots of garlic (sliced) : like 7-8 cloves?
half onion or 1 shallot.
some fresh parsley (chopped)
spaghetti

1.wash clams. prepare garlic, onions and parsley. and start boiling water for spaghetti
2. over medium heat, saute garlic, onions and parsley in olive oil and butter.
3. add clams and white wine. cover and cook over high heat 5-10 minutes until clams are all open.
4. add salt and taste. (mmmm,,, sooooo good)
5. serve over spaghetti. i like to put some parmesan cheese.
6. enjoy!

time goes fast. : ) i had a little b day party with my close girl friends. they make me laugh sooooooo much.

this morning

i woke up with a headache. it might be the GIANT fish dream i had all night or dry weather.. or stress. i had a blueberry muffin and lemon honey tea for breakfast. hope the headache doesn't get worse.

*i just ordered soft paws for our cat as well after i found out that she scratched our precious dining table. why, nylon? why?

last night we had our heater on all night and this morning it was 84 degrees! we went to the malibu beach and walked along the shore.

coffee time

i use my milk frother as a french press and it works well. i like coffee beans from Peet Coffee & Tea. 

i got some bowls and another tocca candle at anthropologie. the bowls are $4 each. i was picking up colored ones but an old lady next to me said " food look better on white." ha. so i got white ones instead. : )

i love tocca candles but i'd love to have a couple of fancy diptyque candles too. they make the room smell magnificent even when they're not lit. cost a fortune but they are so worth it.
