i can't think of anything but my show now. i'm working my butt off but i wish i could do faster and better.

it will be over soon but i might secretly enjoy being insanely busy.

tina and coco

suddenly i thought about my next door neighbor i met 6 years ago when i was still in calarts. he was a middle-aged single guy with a dog.
" hi. did you just move in? i live right next your apartment. i'm ted. this is my dog buddy."
"hi. i'm jeana and this is my dog choco."
"nice to meet you, tina. aw,, coco, you are a cutie. you and buddy should play sometime."
i knew he got our names wrong but some reason i didn't bother to tell him. since that day he called us " tina" and "coco" and i've never had a chance to fix him.

one year later, i was packing to move out, he walked in and went
"oh man. tina. are you moving out? that's a bummer."
i was dying to tell him that we are not "tina and coco" but instead i said
"coco will miss buddy. take care, ted."

jisung's 27th birthday dinner at my place and then Karaoke in korea town! fun! fun!

97 degrees today!
the good thing is that our house stays cool. (it's like a fridge in the winter.)
i want to get outdoor lights for summer parties.
i want some new summer dresses.
warm weather makes me relaxed and optimistic about things.
hope i make some good paintings this new week.

the other day at starbucks,, some guy walked to me and said, "give me a hug."
i said, "why?"
he said, " because i need a hug."
so i gave him a hug.

i was flipping through my old note book and found a little note.

"happiness is eating good food with your favorite person."

i'm going to have good dinner with my favorite person today.

my 9 year old choco in action.

i see and hear many many birds lately. they make me think about the finch chicks on my hanging plant last year. i wonder if any bird will make a nest in our backyard. i'd love to see a humming bird's nest.

thanks alex for the beautiful red roses. they smell amazing and i was happy to paint them.

saturday : runyon canyon with niki, pizza and coffee at cheebo, painting
sunday: helped niki trim her big plants, wine and korean food, planning the next painting.

i wish there was no monday.
