pretty garden

i got invited to a very nice lady's house in beverly hills for a mini garden tour. i only had my 50mm lens so i didn't get any good wide shots of her garden but it was beyond BEAUTIFUL. i also loved listening to her stories about each plant and got inspired to do more gardening. she looked so happy to show her garden. i want to be like her when i'm older.

last night

me and my friends had amazing dinner at this greek restaurant "PAPA CRISTO'S TAVERNA" in korea town (on normandie and pico). it's where My Big Fat Greek Wedding was shot. the super generous owner who adores one of my friends kept serving all kind of amazing dishes and delicious greek wine. and at the end of the long dinner he said, " the dinner's on the house!". whoa! we tried to pay but he insisted so we just left BIG tip instead. afterwards we had more vino at niki's beautiful deck. it was a lovely evening.

sweet weekend

this weekend was all about the bake sale. i'm still sugar high and i don't want to eat anything sweet for a while. ha. the bake sale was amazing. we sold out everything and raised a lot of money! yay!

this sandwich is so good. so easy to make too! avocado, swiss cheese, caramelized beets and onions, sun-dried tomato. and yum!

no knead bread

my first no knead bread came out pretty good. it looks kind of too flat but tastes yummy. it's a very simple process but i somehow made a MESS. (flour all over in the kitchen and my clothes!!) i'm eating it with whipped butter and coffee. so good!
