thanksgiving

hope you all had a great thanksgiving. mine was great. we ended up eating out instead of cooking. we knew korean restaurants are always open on holidays so we went to Mr.pizza in k-town for lunch and chungkiwa (korean BBQ) for dinner. -their black cod is so so good!

we also went on a nice and easy hike, got tea latte and smoothies, drove around the beach and watched curb your enthusiasm season final at home.
i think we had a lovely day. we are ready to go back to work tomorrow.

i've been drinking a lot of tea instead of coffee. i'm kind of proud of myself. : )

whoa,, thanksgiving is coming soon. we are going to stay in LA working but i'd like to make some special yummy dinner. i don't eat turkey, chicken or ham so i don't know what to cook! hmm.

*iphone's poor reception disappointed me big time. love the device hate the service. friends, call me at my home phone. i got no bars at home.

*i'm going to make veggie dumplings. come over!

*i miss the health care system in korea. SO MUCH better than here.

*choco's going to be 10 years old soon. in dog years she's 70 years old! hope she lives 10 more years. : ) i love you choco my sweet love.

steven alan sample sale

steven alan sample sale on sunset+gower was pretty amazing. i got a few CUTE things for very cheap (80% off!). i might go back tomorrow. maybe i should stop buying,,, but hey, it's christmas soon!

when i thrift shop my eyes always go to kids coats. i found this one at the goodwill last year but i realized that it was "TOO CUTE" for my age. ha.

i made some clear clam soup today and it was sooooo good. : )


clams - 1pound
green onions -chopped
golden needle mushrooms
2 chili peppers -thinly chopped
sea salt
pepper

*veggie stock*
2 garlic cloves
kombu(dashima)
leeks (white part)
japanese radish

1. make veggie stock . (you can use other veggies if you want)
2. clean clams and soak them in salted water for 20min
3. veggie stock in a big pot and add clams. cover until it boils.
4. when the clams are open, add mushrooms, green onions and red chili peppers
5. salt and pepper
