the view

sorry for the absence. i was away from my laptop and helping brad build acoustic wall panels for his music studio. i'll show you what we made when the room is done. brad and i are becoming a hardcore DIY team. (well,, i'm mostly just assisting him.ha)

i got inspired by megan's post and took a photo of the view from our window. those palm trees make me happy.

i had a bad morning so brad took me to a thrift store, startbucks and plant nursery to cheer me up.(isn't he the best husband ever? ) i feel so much better after i planted some pretty flowers in the garden. i hope they make it.

i know,,, i'm obsessed with shoes lately. my flats are old and worn out. i'm waiting for lanvin flats to go on sale at barney's but meanwhile,, these pretty ballerina flats are tempting. maybe i like them better.

ps: i finally wore the feather jacket to dinner last night. the restaurant host complimented on the jacket. and asked me if it was betsey johnson. i proudly said "no. it's vintage. :) "

vintage feather jacket

when i saw this feather jacket ,, even though it was a little over the top for my taste,, i LOVED it and had to buy it. ($30 price tag helped too! ) now,,, am i ever going to wear it? it's been sitting in my closet for a couple of weeks. i do want to wear it,, but where? i need some fancy events to go.

my mom got me some japanese snacks from narita airport. not so yummy but.. at least they are very well dressed. :D

i'm busy hanging out with my parents. funny thing is my mom thinks my hair is a big mess and most of my clothes are kind of ugly. we are eating dinner with my parent's friends tomorrow and she already picked out my outfit. simple white top, dark skinny jeans, black blazer, brown wedges, vivier La Tropezienne and pink lipstick. these are the only things she likes in my closet. (she hates my boyfriend jeans and vintage dresses! )

she also suggested me to get braces soon. ha!

i might be a little busy since my parents are visiting us from korea. it was my mom's birthday last week. i'm going to take my mom on a little shopping spree.

we just ordered burro table legs from urban outfitters and bought a nice piece of plywood. that's going to be my painting table. easy and cheap!

dinner at home

we made dinner at home last night and it was delicious.

salad : arugula, red onion, feta cheese, ( lemon, olive oil, salt, pepper, vinegar )

Spicy linguine: garlic, cayenne pepper, salt and arugula topped with parmesan cheese

simple and yum.

lately i'm obsessed with antique mirrors and i finally found the perfect one. i seriously heart it. ahhhhh~~ i'm going to be a mirror collector.
