three things

*i love full skirts,,,but yesterday the wind blew up my skirt at a parking lot (like 100%!) and it was a disaster. my hands were full with groceries so i couldn't even fix the situation quick. after i finally managed to pull the skirt down, i looked around and there were about 10 guys staring at me. the wind kept blowing and it was a struggle to walk to my car! i'm still thinking about the embarrassment. ok. i'm going to forget about it now. they don't know me and they won't remember me. ok.


*i'm reading barbara kingsolver's prodigal summer and i love it so far. i started with megan's recommendation first but i'd like to read all of the books you suggested one by one.


*peonies are so so pretty!! i'm waiting for those tight buds to bloom.

i went to the flea market yesterday. my goal was finding a great ring. while i was going through hundreds of vintage rings at a jewelry seller's booth, i heard someone saying "can you show me the leopard ring?" i was like 'leopard?!!'. i glanced over her trying on the ring. it was exactly what i was looking for!

girl: how much is it?
seller: $10
girl: oh,, really... hmmm... um.. i don't know.. (slowly putting the ring back)
me: I"LL TAKE IT! (snatching the ring!)

i've been listening to a lot of new music and tying to find the right music for my next short. fun. fun!

opening ceremony's BIG sale starts from tomorrow (27th).

without a home

brad and i went to the screening of rachel fleischer's amazing documentary "without a home" at smogshoppe. the event started with beautiful finger food and desserts donated by bite bar. (i checked out their site and it looks super yummy and cozy. ) also there was a touching speech by someone from St. Joseph Center. if you are interested in helping or donating your time, please check out their site. they need a lot of help and brad and i are planing to volunteer. "without a home" is a very inspiring film and needs to be shown to more people. i felt fortunate to sleep at my warm home last night.

i've been enjoying taking pictures in the late afternoon when the sun is low. these pictures really show i need a haircut soon.

my weekend:
sushi and movie with friends, silver lake jubliee, taking photos & shooting videos, flat tire, in & out burger, zara, korean spa (i'm hooked!)

i'm searching for good books to read. any suggestions?

thanks so much for the comments on my last post. honestly i immediately regretted after i posted it. yeah, my insecurity kicked in and i was nervous that people were going to call me a whiner. that's why i usually try not to write something too personal here but now i'm glad i did.

i thought "getting to the root of the problem" was one of the great suggestions. i know that part of my problem is caused by my (still clumsy) english but i'm sure there are many other reasons that i need to dig into.

unfortunately i'm a very insecure person. i'm insecure about my work, i'm insecure about my looks, i'm insecure about my everything. i used to be the opposite. i don't know how this happened and when this started. this is bugging me so much lately and i really want to fix it if it's possible. what should i do?

i probably posted about this so many times but i love making stuffed zucchini blossoms. they are so pretty to look at and delicious. i altered the recipe a little and it turned out even better. i put less lemon juice and olive oil and added cheese. yummy.

choco needs a haircut... pepe got one recently.

i went to the secret beach to shoot another short video/test today but it was too overcast. - i was so disappointed!!

mother's day dinner

my parents in law are meat lovers but i'm pescetarian and my sister in law and her boyfriend recently became vegan. in this case family dinner can be a little tricky. so we decided to go to the farmer's market all together in the mother's day morning (which was super fun ) got whatever each person wanted to BBQ. so brad and i got scallops and veggies. my parents in law got steaks. jamie and stefen got all veggies. everyone was happy with their food and cooking together was extra fun.
