cool as a cucumber

i went on a long hike at high noon today. it was soooooo hot and my face was like a hot potato. i'm glad there was a left over cucumber in the fridge.

*i saw my dog (choco) picking plum tomatoes off the stem and eating them. she picked only the ripe ones. adorable!
*my mom sent me a huge portion of chinese medicine from korea. (of course i didn't ask for it) i know she will call me all the time to make sure i'm taking it. it's supposed to make women's body warm. hope i don't feel too hot this summer.
*i took all of brad's old clothes to wasteland today and made $156! they usually buy everything from brad's closet. since i did the work, the money is mine. hee hee.

can i still dream?

snack time

i'm posting on saturday! : )
i had this cheese plate at lamill coffee shop the other day. it was really good but the portion was too small for $15. so i made this for an afternoon snack using our homegrown tomatoes. it was yummy!

$4 lanvin flats!

i have a story about these lanvin flats. two weeks ago, i was cleaning my closet and saw a shopping bag full of my old clothes i was supposed to drop off at the goodwill. i wasn't busy that day so i thought maybe i could sell the clothes at a resale store and make some lunch money. so i went to buffalo exchange ( i couldn't go to wasteland since the clothes were non vintage like urban and h&m and stuff,,). anyways, after they bought some of my stuff they told me i could get either $50 cash or $76 store credit. right after i said "cash please", i saw these beautiful lanvin flats in the glass shelf. --i've been wanting them since 2006! and i always wanted BLACK PATENT leather. of course i tried them on. they fit, the condition was almost NEW and they were $80. i had $76 store credit so i paid $4 out of my pocket and the lanvins were mine. i would call this a shoe miracle.

ps: also seeing this makes me very happy.

acne

the black one please. hope they go on sale. i don't know why but i keep looking at sweaters and coats in this hot weather. what's wrong with me?

i don't know if you've noticed but i wear this steven alan top (from the sample sale) ALL THE TIME. i wear it and wash it that night and wear it again the next day and wash it... repeat..

the necklace came with a vena cava dress which i bought for 70% off but i only wear the necklace and not so crazy about the dress.

the shorts are vintage and i had them about 2 years,, my summer staple for sure.

haha. i don't know why i explained all these. i told you some times i don't know what to blog about. ha.

summer braid is back

phew..i don't know how many pictures i took for this. i have a very flat forehead (which i hate) and (almost) no eye brows so i feel funny every time i have my hair pulled up. but you know what. i don't care anymore. it's hot and i'm showing my forehead! xo.

dark trail

sorry about the low quality. i didn't plan to make this video at all. we just went out to play with our camera last night. and i got some footage of me totally freaking out in the dark trail (i heard coyotes) so i made this for fun.

whoa.. it's getting hot in LA and the sun is so strong. these karen walker sunglasses would be nice to have.

i like bright red nails in summer. this shade looks perfect.

red & green

dinner at ginger grass in silverlake. our waiter (not a waitress) said "i love your shoes."! he totally made my day. i wanted to crop my head but i'm wearing red lipstick to match the green jacket (i'm such a dork). so the head stays.. please excuse the bad hair.

i go to catalina island every summer. this time it was a girl's trip. the weather was a little gloomy for vacation but we had so much fun together.
