Coach & Net-a-Porter

Net-A-Porter kindly sent me this beautiful classic Coach bag and I love it! I have a thing for vintage coach bags so I was excited to hear that Coach teamed up with Net-A-Porter and bring back their five iconic bags originally introduced in the'70s. I want the red one, too (below)!

I think their old bags were much more beautiful!!

So neat that they reproduced some styles.

classic coach is so chic! i have a crush on the bag they sent you, plus all of their old satchels. their bags are certainly more elegant sans logo.

Love your blog and have been following it for awhile. Digging the LA Girl Vibe. I love how you support all of your friends creative endeavors. Sad that you are pushing Coach. They get your stamp of approval and free advertising because they send you a free bag. They have a big marketing department and loads of money for advertising. Its so much cooler when you a giving a leg up to the folks that don't have all those assets. Please don't fall into this trap! So many blogs do and they totally loose their credibility.

@ann
i get a lot of emails from small designers to big companies. i don't write about them unless i absolutely love their products. some big jewelry company offered me free diamond rings but i passed because the style didn't fit my blog.

of course i love supporting small designers and stores. but if i see something beautiful and it fits my blog, i write whether i get free stuff or not. if this was coach designs that i didn't like, i wouldn't have posted this.

i hope you understand. xo

Do understand. Thanks for taking the time to respond. I have had alot of blogs that I loved morph into paid advertising. I know its part of the strategy for many big retailers since I work for one. Just keep true to your heart and style.

I'm liking that messenger buckle bag. I myself found an old forest green coach leather purse at a thrift store and it's one of my favorites.

Not usually a Coach fan but that first bag is so sweet!

Most of the originals are still available from Coach, but sadly not my favorite duffle sac. These will just be more expensive, but they do have some navy gotta love that.

Jeana! How fun. I have the same bag vintage and in navy... which makes it so fun to read about here.
