My closet visit subjects always tell me they are happy that they get to reorganize their closets because of Closet Visit. Yesterday I couldn't find things that I wanted to wear so I started organizing my closet. Now I see the reality..
1. I keep buying the same things,,, like sweat shirt looking tops that eventually become workout clothes or sleep wears... (and they are all grey.)
2. I have many jackets (mostly for nights,,) but no warm coats. (What should I wear when I visit korea in two weeks? It's freezing there!)
3. I have a bunch of cheap vintage dresses and button up shirts I found at thrift stores that I NEVER wear. *Note to myself: Don't buy just because they are cheap. Also I need to stop buying things that need alterations because I never get them altered..
4. I wear only 30% of my clothes. The rest are just sitting there for years. --Not that like I have a big closet. Trust me. Mine is tiny.
5. Finally I just ordered a
steamer ( not a fan of ironing)
6. I have no black jeans and my blue jeans are all over 5 years old. all of my leggings have holes.
The bottom line is I have nothing to wear. Do you have something to wear? Can we talk about it? ;)
FYI,
Closet Visit's been getting some good press lately. This one is for
L.A Confidential Magazine.
(And you can see that I'm wearing one of my grey sweat shirts in the photo.)
